Newark Little Leaguer's Inspiring Story

A paralyzed ex-convict brought together a bunch of kids this spring from Newark's South Ward to play Little League baseball and now their walking tall. The Elizabeth Avenue Eagles coached by Rodney Mason are doing well and are headed to the playoffs.

Essex County College Shows Its Medal at Olympics

Kerron Stewart, an Essex County College graduate earned a silver medal in the 100-meter sprint at the Beijing Oympics. Stewart went from Essex to Auburn, where she won a national championship, to dancing around the Bird's Nest with a Jamaican flag draped over her shoulders in Beijing.
