Luxury Condos Coming
to Newark

Hoping to lure young professionals wanting to live in Newark's Ironbound, officials recently broke ground on a luxury condo complex that will join the landscape of two-family houses that dominate the area. The $19.8 million residential and commercial structure on Ferry and Magazine streets will offer 67 residential units, 12 retail units and 77 parking spaces. "The Continental" is slated to be constructed by next summer.

Classmates from Burnet Street School joined their fellow students from across the Newark school district by participating in the "A Day in the Life" photography project. The students spent a day capturing scenes of the city as they saw it. Click on the image above to see more.
